ARCSP™ Associate Registered Concrete Scanning Professional
ARCSP is the entry level of the UKCSS professional register. It recognises practitioners who are actively involved in concrete scanning or associated non destructive testing and who can evidence real site based experience within a defined and limited scope of responsibility.
ARCSP is evidence based. Registration is not automatic and is not granted on the basis of interest alone.
Who ARCSP is for:
- Practitioners carrying out concrete scanning or related NDT under supervision or within a defined scope
- Individuals contributing to live site work, data capture, basic interpretation, and reporting
- Those building a professional record toward independent practice
Minimum requirements to apply
Applicants must be able to evidence:
- Active involvement in concrete scanning or concrete related NDT work
- Practical site based experience, typically a minimum of 12 months
- Familiarity with at least one recognised scanning or testing method
- Basic understanding of safe equipment setup, data capture, and reporting
Evidence is required
Applications must be supported by evidence. This may include anonymised reports, site records, employer confirmation, or training records where available.
Applications will be refused or deferred where sufficient evidence is not provided.
Formal qualifications are not mandatory at this level, but any relevant training or manufacturer instruction must be declared.
What ARCSP represents:
ARCSP confirms alignment with UKCSS Level 1 and recognition as an entry level practitioner operating within defined limits. It does not confer independent sign off authority or senior status.
ARCSP is a foundation grade. Progression is expected through continued experience, responsibility, and evidence.
The initial payment fee covers review of submitted evidence and processing of application. Registration is subject to approval.
